My question is who that audience was and who they imagined that audience was.

From what I've observed on the internet, it was a general audience and they liked it because it wasn't the typical stuff you'd expect from a "Superhero" movie these days.

Only a very minor group of the crazy left claimed it was a monumental incel picture to be as venerated as Saint ER himself.
