Classic era joker would turn being raped into some kind of benefit for him. Like, he'd stuff his anus full of poisonous laughing powder that gives the rapists terminal STDs on contact and causes violent chimpouts. He'd allow himself to get buttstuffed by the entire prison, thus creating a huge riot. He'd escape in the chaos, become a gay gigolo, infect all of Hollywood and laugh while they all died of Joker AIDS.
You can't really "subvert" a character like Joker, whose gimmick is that he's fucking crazy and doesn't care about anything. Even in the kid-friendly cartoons, he treats his henchmen and Harley as totally disposable cannon fodder. Not one single fuck can he be made to give.
