On 9/11 you could find leftists on usenet or on forums who said that we deserved it or who chastised people for being shocked when terrorist attacks are common all over the world and a few planes crashed into the World Trade Center was nothing special. I have clear memories of that.

I saw loads of articles and comments about John Ceena announcing the death of Bin Laden and how distasteful that was.

Personally, I'm all in favor of people making inappropriate jokes immediately after a horrific event. Nor would I want them punished for such a thing. I don't care about grave dancing because my view is a piece of shit doesn't become worth respecting simply because they're dead now. I've never wanted to be hypocritical in that way, although I'm sure in-person that I'd try to at least refrain from saying anything in front of that person's loved ones. Lmao.

I don't really like seeing comedians cancelled over the grave-dancing comments. I'd rather nobody ever was canceled simply for speaking. But I do get it: the right is sick of being cancelled over everything and now they're taking the opportunity to cancel lefties. I was happy when Pat Robertson died because that guy was one of the biggest pieces of shit in American religion and contributed to much misery for many. He fattened his pockets at the expense of the old, infirm and hopeless.

Edit: In fact, I can go further. It's a crying shame he lived into his 90s and if a God really existed, they would have been compelled out of shame to strike Pat Robertson dead within the first 10 years of his bogus ministry.
