I'm really bummed out that I can't deprogram my parents. They're still going to vote for Retard Joe. My dad told me he thought Biden did great in the debates and that Trump "looked scared" when Biden hit him with "facts".

I don't know what to do. I suppose it doesn't matter as my state always goes blue no matter what, but it's just the principle of it all. I thought people were supposed to get wiser as they age. But they just believe everything the MSM says.

He says Joe is a good man that's "had a hard life". I seem to remember him voting for Clinton for similar reasons. A good sob story gets votes, it seems.

I told my dad he's ruining the future of our nation and he says he doesn't care as he'll be dead soon and nobody gave him any grandchildren. Typical Boomer attitude.

Bro, don't ruin your relationship with your parents by trying to convince them of anything. You never will. They're the "parents" and you are the "kid," that shit ain't happening unless they choose to accept something you're saying. You won't ever convince them of anything unless they decide it's ok to be persuaded by "their kid."

I try to avoid talking about politics with my family. Just nod. That's all they want out of you anyway. People who talk about politics don't want to have a discussion about politics or debate what is right or wrong. When someone talks to you about politics, they want and expect for you to agree with whatever bullshit they've just said and affirm it.

So whenever some idiot or relative starts talking politics, you have to decide whether you want to fight with them for an hour and change nobody's mind or just smile and nod.

Growing older has taught me that most people don't get any smarter or wiser as they age. Especially not in our current consoomer culture.

They actually get dumber. Age is constant decay.

It's just the hypocrisy of my parents. Biden's gaffes are just written off as "senior moments". But I remember towards the end of Reagan's Presidency he was having "senior moments" and my parents were completely freaking about having a senile President. When Reagan's press secretary would come out and clarify the President's remarks, they were aghast and questioning who was running the country.
When that blackface clown comes out and lies for Biden, they say nothing.

Most of my friends don't have any. Some would like to, but can't afford it. One of my friends seethes with rage over his sister-in-law who got knocked up by some random low-life that's now in prison. She gets all her childcare and expenses paid by Uncle Sam.

What would they get wise about? Being wise is stuff for a meaningful society of people doing meaningful things.
Old tradesmen and farmers, old housewives. People knowing practical things and advice from generations of accumulated knowledge.
Even interpersonal and societal advice only works for a functional population.

What the fuck is some zoomer fuckboy who will never be employed beyond retard labour going to teach?

I have one cousin a little younger than me who just had a kid. He's the sweetest guy ever, but his wife is kinda nuts. Anyway, he deserves all the happiness in the world and I hope things work out. I'm just a cynical fuck who hasn't seen that happen often. Every other family member in my age range or younger has no kids. Some have a boyfriend or a girlfriend but most are unmarried.

I'm sure many of them (they are normies) would like to have kids. But they always complain of money troubles and don't seem to have time for kids. The women are all slowly aging past child-bearing. I would go into a boomer diatribe about how this is all their fault, but the reality is probably more like: 30% shitty parenting/no parenting, 30% awful economy, 30% hilarious dating scene and 10% personal choice.

Not that I think everyone should be forced to have kids, but there are plainly many people of my generation and younger who would like to have kids but are prevented from doing so by various factors. Factors which were not really applicable to the earlier generations.
Old tradesmen and farmers, old housewives. People knowing practical things and advice from generations of accumulated knowledge.
Reading what you typed made me sad that my great-grandparents on both sides are dead now. I knew them growing up and it was a treasure to have a touchstone to that much earlier time in history and the older way of living. I didn't appreciate it as a kid because I was just a kid. I wish they would have left more knowledge behind.
