I think there's still life in capeshit. They just make everything look the same these days. Something different and that doesn't make you feel like you need to see 50 movies and 17 streaming series to catch up to it could do well.

One mistake I think the MCU made is that they didn't tease their post-Endgame stuff in the movies much. They needed to get the normies intrigued by Shang-Chi and The Eternals like five years ago. Instead they made "Endgame" feel like THE END. Anything that came after it was starting over and the only people who followed were the ones dedicated to the brand. That's about $100 million worth of fans, but when your movies cost $300 million to make, eh....

Their biggest mistake was that all these post-Endgame movies/series never built up to anything (until they eventually came up with Kang I guess). They just existed to introduce/tease new characters, and the breakpoint between Phase 4 and 5 is largely arbitrary.
I guess they were so eager to shit out as much capeshit as possible to fill their streaming service with content that they didn't have any kind of long-term plan in mind.

Westerns should make a comeback. Everyone loves westerns.
