Marvel's approach is just fucked. The masses aren't interested in C-list comic book heroes.

We already talked about why Iron Man worked. Mahvul is trying to re-create that concept over and over. But it doesn't work if your leading man isn't charismatic, and it double doesn't work if the genre you're premiering them in is overexposed as fuck. Superhero shit wasn't played out in 2008. But now it's damn near 2024 and it's fucking lame. The Mahvul Joss Whedon writing shtick seemed "cool" and "hip" to normies back in 2008. But now... Cringe comp material.

Sure, if Tarantino makes one, I'll watch. Nu-westerns tend to be kinda... Not so amazing. Decent films yeah, but nothing that's going to top the classics. It's kinda like saying they should make film noir because everyone loves those. Best ones have already been made and now the culture has moved on. Can a good film noir be made today? Sure. Are they? Usually not.
