It's a board game. Can't they just use tokens? Leave the permanent decals for shit like expansions. The first one for the Lord of the Rings board game (the one by Reiner Knizia) did this to mark the newly added locations Bree and Isengart on the map.

It certainly looks like a fun HeroQuest adjacent game, but I'm always kinda weirded out by games that used cards instead of dice.

Apocalypse Frame: The name makes it sound like it's Powered By The Apocalypse (tm), but it's actually based on LUMEN (some slightly newer RPG system that is mostly confined to itch.io and somewhat popular because unlike PBTA it actually handles combat more or less). This is not confusing at all.

Doikayt: A Jewish TTRPG Anthology: Of course we couldn't be without a "a bunch of minority writers write short RPGs or something" book, though the typoe of minority is a bit controversial in this situation. Really the only notable game in this anthology is one of the least shit PBTA games:

Lunch Rush: A Geshmak RPG, a game where players take on the roles of employees in a noisy, crowded, and far from Zagat-rated Jewish delicatessen. Faced with customers with specific dietary restrictions, personality quirks, checkered pasts, and unreasonable demands, the deli's hardworking staff must sling reubens and black and white cookies as they use their chutzpah (audacity), gezunt (fortitude), Yidishe kop (cleverness), and tsuris (desperation) to grasp at greatness.

Still better than Horny Hengdang Hoes.

Age Range Altered Creature Heroes: I dunno, guys, when it comes to stupid TMNT parodies on itch.io, I'll stick with Social Justice Warrior Turtles.
Mostly because they always censor "Ninja Turtles" as "N***a Turtles"

And Clannad is a bit like the original Pretty Cure in that it's from the early 2000's but looks like it's from the darkest pits of the 90s.

Oh, and now I remember a fun bit of trivia about LUMEN: Its creator originally pitched a Kickstarter RPG that was clearly a ripoff of Warframe, so much so that he got laughed off of Kickstarter.
He returned by making the ripoff slightly less obvious, even if the new lore made the artwork a bit suspect (you're supposedly piloting mechs, but all the mech art looks like a dude in power armor).
He also offers the original version at an absurd price tag, just so he can show that he is totally not mad about the Kickstarter.

Anyway, here is FRAME. It became something a lot cooler by becoming LUMEN, and then NOVA.

Magic the Cuckening is getting even more woke. A recent update is promising to fix/replace problematic concepts like "totem", "tribal" and "Naga". Also Rakshasa will apparently get their art replaced to be less problematic, whatever that means. Also they will lose the "cat" subtype, because I guess associating Rakshasa with cats is stereotyping.

And there's more info around the creator of the Deck of Many Things, which I must reminds you is an autistic female paladin (because everyone knows paladins make artifacts all the time).

According to designer Makenzie De Armas, the choice to make Asteria autistic was the result of serendipity — a happy accident that evolved from an organic creative process. The idea of being friends with a Medusa is hard but, according to De Armas, could be easy if someone doesn’t want to make eye contact.

"My autistic super power allowed me to befriend a Medusa!"

De Armas herself is autistic, and was able to incorporate a lot of her own experiences into the character. For instance, there’s text in the book that mentions Asteria’s hyperfocus on a puzzle to the point of forgetting to eat as well as animosity toward a particular character for breaking Asteria’s fidget toy.

Of course it's a self-insert.

I'm more glad than ever that I noped out of MtG Arena when the latest unimaginative Phyrexian invasion set had released. The game apparently became so much worse just months after that.
