Wasn't Vyce like the turning point where things became "serious" and "epic"?
Pretty much. In fact, I think I can pinpoint the exact moment when it turned "serious" and "epic": At the end of Linkara's first on-screen fight with Vyce, Vyce basically clobbers the guy and Linkara is only saved because Vyce had to leave because of... I can't remember. But the final bit, where Linkara's just lying on the floor looking scared, is clearly supposed to be taken seriously, and that's when I think the turn really first happened. Before that, things were largely played as being fun and just an excuse to make some jokes. For example, the "Linkara gets kidnapped for several episodes," which came shortly before the Vyce fight, was used as a mechanism for some of his other characters to do a review in a different style; how well this worked is debatable (I do remember liking the one by 90's Kid), but it was just used as a mechanism to make the reviews a little more fun.
Vyce had to leave because of his suit (which he needed to survive in the atmosphere/dimension/whatever) having a convenient malfunction.
Also 90's Kid's review was gnarly.

I also checked out when the skits were supposed to be taken seriously. I've said this before, but his increased SJWisms also annoyed me greatly until one day he put an actual trigger warning in his video. That was the straw that broke the camel's back for me and I was done. That was a few years ago before Trump was even a thing, so can only imagine he's a million times worse now.

I usually enjoy the arcs, although they're becoming increasingly drawn out and boring. There is no reason why the last one(which was basically about Vyce and MissingNo getting all existential and shit) had to take like two years.
As for best villain, I'd have to go with either MissingNo or Mechakara. Vyce is played too straight for my liking.

MissingNo? A high-pitched laugh doesn not count as a villain.

That arc got me the most. This thing takes out everyone in the world except for Linkara, who barely even notices, and at the end it's... 90's Kid with some static on his eyes. And then the 'final battle' turns out to just be Lewis talking himself to death.

Honestly I checked out when he made his magic gun the tortured and murdered soul of a little girl. I had already thought him a hypocrite on everything he claimed to stand for, but that really was the final nail in the coffin for me. Especially since Linkara has demeaned comic writers before for killing off kids in grotesque ways and shit, but when he does it; it's Shakespeare according to his fans.

I couldn't take that arc serious because the magic gun ghost girl always came across as some random lady he picked up from a con or something.
