But ultimately it really doesn't matter since it's a fucking fictional character, and even if you put that into consideration, it's a different iteration.

Sometimes I wonder what would happen if everyone just ignored this the next time it happens. I know they won't. The geek outrage Youtube channels will look irelevant, I guess, if they don't talk about Velma. The same argument will start up all over again and everyone knows it, including the people who make these shows.

I watched a little of Yellow Flash's video and tuned out because he was going on about how it's an insult to the fans, which I don't care about. I have no investment in whether Scooby-Doo characters are faithfully represented over the generations.

It's a Gundam's video is good, though. He talks a little about the transparent outrage bait in the trailer, but he mostly sticks to making fun of how hacky this shit is at this point.
