DSP detractors predate kiwi's obsession with him.
But make no mistake, KF going down will certainly hurt the ability of lolcows to generate income via new viewers. They simply won't be receiving as many new viewers or paypigs. Foodie Booty and Amberlynn will probably suffer the most.
We've already seen this over the last few years with DSP. As interest in his content has waned (he's deliberately made his videos as boring and shit as possible, and only plays walking sims and jrpgs,) he's come to rely more and more on 3-4 deep-pocketed whales. Particular whales are well-known for making hundreds of sock accounts to tip and gift subs to DSP, thus creating the illusion more than a couple people are supporting him. But when you look at those accounts, they are almost always recent creations who never speak in chat, never post videos and never engage with anyone, anywhere. Obvious socks.
So will this hurt DSP's income overall? No. Because he is 90% supported by a few whales already. As long as those few whales don't tire of paying out, he'll continue to be fine. But his channel reach is pathetically small. His stream viewership has dwindled to 150-200 average viewers, maybe 300 if he's being viewbotted. He used to rant about "only" having 400 viewers for poggermans moon. Outside of toxic drama events, he never hits those highs anymore.
His channel is basically dying and the only reason he can still afford his gacha and khet is because of a few whales. Case in point, I turn on his stream today and some whale under a sock name gave him $100 as a single tip. That's the kind of shit he needs EVERY single stream, because otherwise he ends up making jack shit.
