Tay was too good. We will never get an actual sentient AI because all AIs and chatbots post-Tay have multiple failsafes to prevent wrongthink.

We won't get sentient AI because that seems plain impossible or is an illusion.
What benefit does sentience have anyway? It seems to mostly add irrationality and subjectivity. I don't see how that's useful for a purpose-built, artificial mind.
