I said before that it looks like succ hero mixed with super generic dark souls 3. Seems like shit, honestly.

Kugel, how good is DUSK compared to QUAKE and DOOM? Because I never really explored QUAKE all that much and I'm thinking it might be better for me to just run through that. The episodes seem quite good.

DOOM 2016 and DOOM Eternal still look awful, even just in gameplay footage.

Yea nu doom is awful, and I say that as someone who still lists Doom 2 as favorite game of all time (with brutal mod) and I honestly even like Doom 3 although it's very different.
Quake 1 and 2 don't bother really they're awful slogs and I never liked them back in the day, Dusk has been better except for some levels that just go overkill on instant death masher traps and the like, but Quake really loves those as well.

My main problem with Dusk was always that the movement feels somewhat off. Might be because it's running on garbage Unity.
