No, its extremely easy it see why they love it! Journos and normies/newfags love it because the game literally plays itself! Shit like Nu-GOW/TLOU/Uncharted are all perfect examples of that!

Big overly drawn out cutscenes with the occasional button prompts thrown in there to keep the player form falling asleep. Games are all about 'dat story' so they can now be considered "mature and high art"

And when the game movie does begrudgingly allow you to ACTUALLY PLAY THE FUCKING GAME the gameplay itself is either dumbed down to 'Baby's first' or it's made to be Non-existent as possible!

I'll never stop getting a kick on how "kiddie cartoon" platformers require you to have at the very least some understanding of how the in-game character moves and interactes with the environment where the "mature & adult" Uncharted (and others like it) just have you point the analog stick towards the next ledge, and press X, Rinse & Repeat.

Uncharted tricks the player in to thinking that theres more to it by shoving a bunch 'crazy over the top Hollywood style action sequences' and that 'the player is in great peril and can actually die(bullshit)" but all of it is just spectacle! If you really pay attention to what your actually doing it's just the more the same repetitive brain dead game design of 'point the analog stick towards the highlighted object and press jump' it may work the first time around but like any cheap trick it only works once. And when the every game since is just copying the same lazy approach to the design, you'll quickly learn to hate it for what it really it!

Uncharted is a lot like Asscreed if there was only one path to climb along. The rest is Gears of War but worse in every aspect. I never understood why people liked the series.

Comparing it even to shit like asscreed is too generious. At least there was some player freedom/verity/customizetion in those gaymes via exploration, Stealth etc. At the very least you could argue the series use to be gudd (I.E. The Ezio trilogy & 4) even though ubisoft made the franchise into their personal whore that would force out a sequel each-year-every-year like birthing yet another bastard child!

Uncharted is so brain dead it wouldn't even allow that!

My take on pong.

Balls would be black and paddle white. Balls would be on thw left and right side and it would be the paddle that would be moving.

And at least Gears of War had level design. It wasn't a rollercoaster of QTE and shakeycam.

Dad of War triggers me especially since they insisted on using a shitty over-the-shoulder camera meant for non-violent walking sims or survival horror for their hack-and-slash action. They even realized that's a stupid idea, since the game gives you visual and audio cues if you have to dodge/parry and attack from behind (which you have no way of seeing) right the fuck now.
I think some apologists this is more "realistic" (since you can't see what's behind you in a "real" battle) - ignoring Kratos' new Spider Sense and the general lack of realism in the whole franchise.
