It's shounenshit from Current Year, so if I have to guess, I would say it's because

• muh deep and tactical power system (until the writer gives up and starts introducing literally omnipotent villains)
• muh absurdly-bloated cast that guarantees every loser will find a waifu and/or some character to identify with
• muh deep and tragic character backstories and arcs (that you've probably seen in countless other older shounenshit, except they were better told back then)

I personally don't get it because a) Wanpanman does animu capeshit better and b) all the waifus look like shit.

the first season had potential for those reason yes but the concept got throw aside for lame shit.

And how can anyone stand it that 10% of an episode is a recap from last episode, intro, start of episode where they AGAIN repeat at least a minute of last episode or the stuff before the intro. Then during the episode there is at least 2 or3 flashbacks to something we;ve seen an episode or 2 earlier or something they just talked about already so no need to show it again...


So thats not even 25% new shit per episode and hardly anything interesting happens in that. Fuck all these youtubers who act like western comic movies / series are dead but japan/anime is still sooooooooooo great. it fucking isnt

What did you expect? It's shounenshit that runs concurrently with the manga. Gotta stretch that shit out as long as possible, lest they have to come up with filler arcs.

And to come back to Gundam: Take a wild fucking guess what the first proper Japanese live-action Gundam is about.

Of course the fights are in "glorious" CGI. Also a bit lame compared to even the Gundam Build animu because they just "pilot" the canon model kits, instead of making their own nonsense Frankenstein creations.

Anime fans have shit taste. Because they watch anime all fucking day. Same as capeshit fans. Only a tiny percentage of anime are worth a single damn.

Bruh, My Pico Academia's main character's super power is to be Superman but with no disadvantages except he's a shounen protagonist. So he's contractually obligated to suck shit for a few issues until he becomes OP as fuck. He's One Punch Man except played straight.

Animation is hard, you see. So the best way for animators to not have to work is for the show to constantly flash back or otherwise reuse animation. Even better when the old animation consists largely of still images with speed lines painted on to give the illusion of animation without animating anything.

Shounen is such fucking cancer.
