Alien 3 at least had potential. Directed by David Fincher, after all. Terminator 3 was never going to be anything other than a piece of dogshit

No it didn't. It's a rehash of the previous two movies, one of which was already a shitty rehash of the first.

The idea of it was just bad - no director was going to save that movie.

The idea they went with, yeah. But I'm told that William Gibson's original script was much better than the one they used.

In Gibson's script the aliens no longer lay eggs and instead give off spores that metamorphose you into a xenomorph. Also the aliens are a metaphor for nuclear weapons and there are space soviets in a cold war with the corporations.

Also also the plot is just Aliens again but on a space station this time. Including Bishop and Higgs blowing it up with a nuclear explosion.

Ah, so this must be where Ridley Scott got his inspiration from for his shitty prequels.

Except he kinda fucked up since having that shit in the air means you can't really have people not get infected (unless someone somehow stays in a spacesuit even before finding out that this shit travels by air) - which was probably why this idea got dropped.
