"See? I know this is a superfluous sequel. Aren't I smart?!"

To be fair BTTF 1 was planned as a solo movie so no plans for a sequel and if I recall BTTF 2 and 3 were actually filmed together with them releasing them a year apart on purpose.

Another lazy man's way of making a trilogy. Better crank those two sequels out as long as there is still interest.

I like how Cameron wants to make like four or five Avatar sequels when he's been taking so long just to get the second one out. There's been like 20+ MCU movies since the first Avatar came out and the only thing people even remember about the first Avatar is the "Dancing with Smurfs" memes.

The third one is supposed to come out like 2 years after the second. He can crank these out faster if he wants to, but he just didn't have interest immediately after the first one because it was a solo movie and he got distracted with other shit in the meantime.
Now he has apparently run out of ideas, so it'll be blue cat people for the next decade.

Yeah, he's been talking about this amazing furry saga for a while, but has he always been serious from the start, or was he just making shit up to keep that movie in the public concious?
I mean, some of the few info nuggets he has given over the years are just nuts. Generic Evil Army Guy coming back from the dead to become a major antagonist in all sequels? Seriously? Is he like gonna be reincarnated as a red space doge or something?

No, he did that for Genisys to keep the people sweet because they were giving him the rights back and he did it for Dark Fate because he actually produced that. That piece of shit is what he made after they gave him back his rights after all these years.

He's been "developing" the sequels for years, and Fox has been pumping money into them for a while now.

My guess is either this is a giant scam or Cameron's autism has been fully unleashed and he really is taking nearly a decade to get Avatar 2 and 3 "just right" to his retarded standards. Or maybe some combination of the two.

It's especially bullshit as Terminator 1&2 were kino sci action flicks. Alien and Aliens are just monster movies and will never be anything more. When the Alien series went under nothing of value was lost, but Terminator deserved so much better.
