It was always like that. Early Simpson's and Family Guy for a lot of jokes at the expense of Fox News's coverage. But of course they become more and more politicized with time (specially during the Great Comic Silence of 2008-2015 where no humour has been done about the Presidency or the rulling class; instead we got plenty of jokes about the Tea Party), and after 2016, exploded in righteous and self-indulgent REEEEEE-ing about anyone not calling Orange Man the Devil incarnate.
