God the vita is such a pile of shit. I don't have one, but I have a pstv for various purposes, and the goddamn memory card is always causing problems. Not only is it small and worthless, but it corrupts games and saves all the fucking time. Carts seem to work always, but anything downloaded gets corrupted. Doesn't seem to happen with ps1/psp games on the pstv, but happens with vita games every time.

inb4 vita has no games, yes well technically shit like la-mulana on vita counts as a "vita game" for the purposes of being save-corrupted by the card
I'm doing the database rebuild now. Fucking hell. I never play this piece of shit, but whenever I do, I'm reminded of how obnoxious it is. I've lost countless hours of save data to this fuckery. You can look online and see it's a very common problem as well. Pretty much any game I don't play for a while (so, every game) gets corrupted over time. The whole reason I don't play Soul Sacrifice any more is I had multiple huge save files go bye-bye thanks to random save corruption.
How come you don't store your save files on the PC? The PSP allowed you to do so in case of any memory fuckery(which still hasn't happened AFAIK) or to forego re-DLing install data and such from heavy games. It's also pretty easy to back up. Heck, I think the PS3 allowed you to do that in case some bullshit happened and your data was corrupted / your PS3 YLOD'd. Not sure about the Piss4 but Nintendo finally allowed the Switch to have a similar function which is a god send in my eyes.

At this point, the only game that was worth a PissVita for was Soul Sacrifice since evrything else worth it got PC'd.

Most of the time I can't be assed to back up my savegames because I don't care all that much. Plus most systems are stable enough to not corrupt themselves constantly. PSTV is the only system I own which regularly corrupts for me. For a lot of games it doesn't matter anyway. I would welcome losing all my gamesaves of souls games. Those games are all about head knowledge and that can't be taken away from me. For arcade games and shit, saving is even less important. Really, it's only hunting games and a few other genres which are so heavily time-intensive that losing a savegame is a big blow.

I'm still waiting for soul sacrifice to get a port to a real system.

I obviously will store my soul sac data on pissy if I ever play that game again. I learned my lesson, and the lesson is fuck sony.

I can't stand having my saves corrupted, even for things like Ninja Gaiden or DMC. I hate the fact that I have to re-unlock moves. I get why it's done but I fucking despise having my time taken away and having to re-learn a game because I'm gimped. It has to do with muscle memory as well, I would often try to do some of the more heavy attacks in NGS2 since those were very useful in 1 but at the start of the game, I only had basic bitch Inazumas and Flying Swallows and Ryu would flail around when I tried inputting the moves I wanted because his DS / lunar / talons are still level 1.

To me, it's like doing tutorials and the training all over again, it's one thing to take a moment to rev up and remember how to play, it's another to go through half or even an entire playthrough, just re-learning the game before I start playing "for real". Obviously, that's not an issue with more arcadey games but I just don't like re-grinding to unlock moves, especially ones I love using. It's why fucking loathe the way they set up the Dissidia tournaments on xlink-kai, those fags never understood what made Dissidia cool in the first place but they were slurping the e-sports cock the moment it happened, no matter how shit that game was. A similar case with RPGs, I just like having an 100% perfect save file just to remember all the cool shit I did, just for "posterity's sake".

Man, I feel bad for you having any hope of that ever happening. SOul Sacrifice, much like Freedom Sluts is a SONY-exclusive gayme, even if it's made by other third party studios. In SS's case, it's made by the Marvelous devs and since they are now chink-owned(not unlike CommieSony) and the game has spoopy skeletons...you get it, no re-release for you, love the CCP. It's all so tiresome.

A real shame. Usually all the worthwhile Vita games get a superior PC port

EDIT: Oh, and Squeenix are apparently planning to release "pixel remasters" of their 2D Final Fantasies. Maybe I can finally experience a remake of FF5 and 6 that does not look like shit.

I'm currently playing Asphalt 9 again. It's a great arcade racer but the monetization makes no sense to me.
See, I've never spent any money on it and you really don't need to. I just wonder who does, because the prices are absolutely ridiculous. Let take an extreme example right now in the shop:
Ferrari FXX K + 1.2mil Credits + 1000 Tokens (premium currency)
99.99€

1000 Tokens take a long-ass while to earn for free, but they don't actually buy a lot. It should be 5000 at the very least.

1.2mil Credits is a joke. I've earned over 1mil over the last two days. Should be 10mil at the very least.

Let's talk the car. S Class and a very good one at that.
However, there is no such thing as "getting a car" in Asphalt 9. You get cards, called blueprints. If you got a certain amount, you unlock it at 1 Star. Get that amount again and you get the second star.
Cars have at least 3 and at most 6 stars. The more stars, the more you can upgrade it's speed, acceleration, handling and nitro efficiency.

So normally, you get a few cards here from events, a few there from multiplayer and eventually you'll have a car unlocked or get a new star on one.
You pour in a few hundred thousand credits for the upgrades and that's it. You can upgrade them minimally further with "import parts", which are also cards you get for just about anything all the time. After that, there are class-specific parts, which really don't improve much and at the highest end you can have one car specific part to squeeze the last bit of improvement out of a car.
I have never used a class-specific, nor a car specific part. The latter you can't even buy with anything but import tokens, that you only get in exchange for duplicate cards.

So, you get 40 blueprints for the Ferrari. That's 1 of 5 stars for that car. So it's not even at it's highest potential. Those 1.2mil Credits you'll easily plough into the car just to upgrade it to maximum at 1 star.

But here's the best thing: Multiplayer matches you up with people with similar point value cars.
So you go faster in your 5000 point car, but so do the others.

I don't get it. The pricing is so fucked, you aren't even tempted to spend maybe a buck here and there. But there must be whales for that shit.
You can bypass the timegates and even even progress with real money. But it would cost you hundreds for what I can casually get by just playing for an afternoon.

Anyway, you should give it a try. It's very arcadey but deceptively deep.

As I said, it's not really gachashit. No matter what care you drive, you have a level playing field online.

After about ten years, I reinstalled Skyrim with all its DLC's. So far it's been mostly quite fun to develop my character, a cat sword & shield melee warrior, but I'm playing on legendary and there's been some glaring difficulty spikes, like regular bandits don't pose any danger to me anymore, they can't even get through my armor, I could even totally ignore them if I wanted to, but then, after the level 20 now it has suddenly begun to appear enormously challenging bandit chiefs, marauders and forsworn briarhearts who can kill me with 1-3 hits despite the fact that I have the best armor I can get in the game at the moment. Fighting these with a melee oriented character seems utterly impossible, the only way to deal with these guys is to use stealth archery and exploit the enemy AI, hit them, escape from the area where the enemy is ready to follow you, repeat. Fucking boring. This is just bad game design. Hopefully the situation will change with the level of development.

Oh, it's also so 'ery spechul how few voice actors they used. The same fucking voice actor is all over the place, he's the voice of the guy in the introduction scene, next he's the blacksmith of Riverwood, then the jarl of Whiterun, then the blacksmith of Windhelm, one of the Companions (just one!), etc. etc. He's like every other nord male you meet in the game, he doesn't even try to change his voice when presenting different characters. It really takes the immersion to the next level!
