I bet FilmBald's father is bald as well. Him losing his hair isn't all that funny by itself. It's that he went from a full head of hair to full male-pattern baldness in a year or so.

Balding is mostly genetic. In my experience, the other men in your family will give you a big hint if you're going to go bald. If they are, you will.

you are all wrong about baldness. I know because at one point in my life i had freaked out by the thought that I was gonna go bald, and I had gone deep into the subject.

tl;dr how much testosterone you have does not play a role. You may get bald faster in that case but the reason you are balding is that your hair follicles are genetically predisposed to be sensitive (see: die) to the metabolised derivative of the testosterone in your system, called dihydrotesterone. It all comes down to whether your follicles have this genetic "defect"

The only thing that can actually stop the balding process (but not revert it) is finasteride, which prevents the testosterone in your system from being turned into dihydrotesterone, so your hair are not affected.

My dad still has his all his hair at 70, but his brother has been Picard bald since his early 30s. They look pretty much the same otherwise. I think even if you've got the bald gene, it's still a coin flip
