He was extra salted because you can unlock clubs to customize your loadout. Just like in mario kart and other nintendo games. But apparently mario kart is super competitive (according to him) and totally fair compared to the unfair bullshit that is mario GAHLF. Y'know, because mario galf has those dang blue shells, triple red shells and weighted item drops for the pole position character.... No wait, that's mario cart.
