The story is perfect, and gave is Gilgamesh, a recurring boss of just majesty that he escaped from his game to harass other titles of the franchise.
Plus the job system was so amazing that they had to create an entire spin-off game (aka Tactics Ogre ripoff) to contain its awesomeness, lest it dominate the franchise for all eternity.

Only in PAL. All other regions have it start with "Final Fantasy" and end with "Mystic Quest".

(The FF connection was most likely dropped because Europe never got any FF release before the PS1 era.)
