Yeah, I never got that about Garfield. He's a cat, he doesn't work, his owner Jon doesn't work and he sleeps and eats all day. Why does he hate Mondays exactly?

He is superstitious. Bad things (aka slapstick) tends to happen to him on mondays in a sort of self-fulfilling prophecy.

Yeah but, if you think about it, what reason is there for someone who doesn't work to hate Monday? It's one of those things about Lasagna cat that doesn't go examined, sort of like how he doesn't have diabetes, or how his owner Jon hasn't been done for pet abuse

Do cats even get honest to god diabetes? You can get a cat chunky as fuck but sugar isn't normally part of their diet, even in overfed cats.
