"Cartoons"
Re: "Cartoons"
Gundam kicks transformers ass anyways. At least that franchise keeps thier shitty spinoffs in thier own little bubble. The transformers multiverse is a mess that makes even the marvel an dc multiverses look sane(especially since the bayformers films canonically exist in the multiverse)

Two very different breed of show, but I do like the whole self contained universes thing too, makes shit a lot easier to keep track of and decide what does or doesn’t interest you.fascistfrog wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 2:15 amGundam kicks transformers ass anyways. Beast Wars had some interesting gimmicks as the series went on. They get exposed to some shit that makes them transmetals, which were shiny robot versions of animals with vehicle forms, and then transmetals 2, which were hellish amalgamations of metal and organic animal. There was also some fusion gimmick, I remember a tiger and a hawk fusing together, man that shit was weird.

Re: "Cartoons"
It's like they couldn't decide on how whether or not Transformers could actually take on an organic-looking form or would have to make due with a metallic approximation, so they just did both.

Does canon even mean anything anymore? It seems you can do any retarted thing that you think of and can say its canon just cause "its a different universe"fascistfrog wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 2:15 amThe transformers multiverse is a mess that makes even the marvel an dc multiverses look sane(especially since the bayformers films canonically exist in the multiverse)

They just wanted to sell dinosaur transformers, you autists. That's all there is to it. Hasbro saw dinos were popular and told some Korean drawing sweat shop to get going.

Re: "Cartoons"
Transformers continuity has kind of been a mess since the beginning. The original cartoon and Marvel comic were wildly apart from each other. But I think Armada was the first full-on reboot.
I know the "official" canon now is that there is only one Unicron, and he exists in all the universes/dimensions simultaneously. Now, this is complete horseshit. Unicron has been given at least two wildly different origins. In the comics, he was a primordial god that became a giant planet robot. In the cartoons, he was built by some little monkey creature just because. And in some continuities, he's dead.

It's a children's cartoon. Who cares about canon and origin and all this shit? It used to be easier for writers and producers when autism wasn't directly involved with these products.

Eh it's not that big of a deal even if she's more of a Bugs recolor. Also:
