Now that you say it, I think I liked his stuff in the 2000s or whenever because I hadn't ever heard of MST3K when he started doing his shtick since we never got it over here as far as I know. Would have been pretty tough to translate and dub the thing, and we don't just put up stuff as-is with subtitles and not in "ze best langwich!"
When I eventually got around to just watching the show, I realized that Spoopy really just plagiarized a whole lotta stuff wholesale.
As he himself would say "That's so funny, no one else has ever made that joke before!"
So I guess a good part of his fans are either too foreign or too young to know about the material he stole from.

My heart goes out to Warthogs collective roommate entities though if she just watches everything Noah related because about 80% of his entire videos including vlogs and wrestle and DnD shit are just extra unbearable.. if I'm being generous.

The only thing MST3K-related that ever got a release in Germany was the movie, and it didn't exactly get a prime time slot.
If Krautpedia isn't making shit up, then the whole show just wasn't a thing outside of the anglosphere. Must be some licensing clusterfuck.

Leave it to Spoony and that asshat Doge to incorporate the worst aspects. Those idiots were actually at their best when simply riffing on and naturally reacting to the material. They just couldn't help but ruin it with unfunny skits and cameo appearances from a bunch of lame hanger-ons.

Doge actually did a MST3K-style riff of some 50s shorts. I think he, Spoony and Linkara did Duck & Cover, Boys Beware (Linkara was probably seething the whole time), and another one about manners for kids.
