"Prevent Cancer Foundation" is a fucking scam that does fuckall. All those dumb donators going "let's fight cancer!" when that's not even what they do. It's a straight up scam.

For reference, what cancer charities would be good to donate to if the goal is to find cures (or better treatment, earlier detection, etc.) for cancer?

The fuck do I know. I don't give a rat's ass about charity. What I do know is that the PCF before AGDQ came along and pumped money into them was a very small group that did nothing but produce flyers telling you to get your ass checked because cancer is bad, mkay?
Now they are the exact same little shit organization that still does absolutely nothing, just with the difference that they get loads of money for it.
For all intent and purposes, it's basically a front.

PCF does not do cancer research. They do not give money to clinics or doctors. They do not actively fight or heal cancer.
All they do is PR work telling people that cancer is bad and that they should go to their doctor for a regular checkup. They tell you shit you already know, as if cancer was some obscure stuff you never heard of.
