I think I mentioned this before, but when I was in Japan I tuned into this movie on TV. It appeared to be one of those '90s made-for-TV Columbo movies, but there was PG-13/R-level language in it that would never have been accepted in the US.

Has anyone seen anything like that? It was really surreal.

It was in English. And I'm pretty sure. I heard a guy say something like "It's that fucking Columbo again" and I saw Peter Falk. People were saying "bullshit" and things like that.
I know foreign markets sometimes get "harder" versions of our shows. For example, here is a scene from the awful Marvel TV Movie Generation X.

Vidya, knives, guns, good food. If you're talking about TV shows, I like Columbo and The Wire. For movies, I like pretty much all films by Martin Scorsese, especially Casino.
I don't read novels for the most part, I don't read comics or manga at all, I don't watch anime or cartoon shows and I very rarely watch movies.
