I think it was the fifth game, with old series like these I know Im never going to play them all so I just research whichever one is considered the best.rabidtictac wrote: ↑Fri Jan 22, 2021 5:49 pmI don't remember this part at all. I just played the beginning of suikoden 1 and this doesn't sound familiar.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Jan 22, 2021 4:43 pmits been a long time but I just remember running through a castle (very beginning of the game) going from room to room trying to find some bitch and after 10 rooms I got tired of the illogical infrastructure and vague description of where this bitch was supposed to be that I dropped the game right there.
What are you playing?

Is that really the best policy when it comes to playing JRPGs?
They're not all disconnected like FF.

Suikoden as a series is very connected. Characters appear across Suikoden 1, 2 and 3. Possibly 4 and 5 as well.

I can't imagine that matters all that much.

It's so fantards can sperg and argue about muh continuity, how everything is connected, and who the real meta-villain of the whole franchise truly is.
Autism attracts more autism. Sooner or later, an internet nobody will attract the exact kind of fans - and detractors - he deserves.

I bet it's just a nod to people who have played the previous titles.

Re: What are you playing?
For those who care, at least. Lord knows I have tried to make sense of the Seiken Densetsu timeline, but in the end of the day it doesn't really matter.
And the Zelda franchise has been quite autistic about muh timeline in recent years (only to stop caring again with Breath of the Wild), but all I really got out of it was a "So this war they've ben talking about in the intro of ALttP was related to OoT"-moment.
Though even here it hardly matters, since so much time passes between each game.

Re: What are you playing?
It's best to just treat Zelda like FF.

All zeldas are stand-alone titles unless they explicitly designed them as sequels, like Oracle of Ages was.

Yep. They just had some autists try to connect them together after the fact once they figured out they could sell books about it.rabidtictac wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 3:49 pmAll zeldas are stand-alone titles unless they explicitly designed them as sequels, like Oracle of Ages was.
