You may be right, but I always used the term "graphic novel" to mean the compilation books and "comics" to mean the individual monthly floppies. I choose to just wait and collect the graphic novel version when it comes out.

"Action Figure" used to also be a euphemism for (the original 60s GI Joe) dolls, but the meaning seems to have shifted.

I think it used to refer to those arthouse books full of sketches that Moebius used to make, at least initially before it became a fad to call capeshit cuckmics "Graphic Novels" because amerifag ners were too insecure to call Alan Moore's masterpiecesomegakek simply "fun comics".

But that's not true Kugel. The oriental and the Orient used to mean indeed what Voice said, even back in Alexander's time, where the new kind of Orient was India and later in the Byzantine times, it became China, while it was originally just Asia Minor and some parts of modern Iran. Heck we used it, the romans used it, the Byzantine used it and later Germanythe Holy Roman Emprie used it as well to refer to those godless mongols and gooks. Your blind hate for the anglos is out of control regarding this one.

I wonder why though. It's like the old term "Barbarian" which basically meant "Those savages who aren't greek" in old times, because every other language to greeks sounded like "bar-bar-bar" which was an onomonopeia for the sounds of a frothing mouth while someone was chocking on their food while trying to talk like a man instead of an ape.
