Wonder Woman 84 sort of exposed the shit out of their shitty opinions for me. For years they've dumped on DC movies saying they want them to be cheesy and like the Richard Donner Superman movies. Then for some reason Warner Bros actually decides to make a movie like this and RLM predictably shits on it.

You aren't wrong, but the Donner movies were actually well made whereas WW84 is generic corporate chick shit. That said, if everyone (critics and consoomers) loved it the way they love MCU garbage the crew would absolutely be sucking it's feminine lady cock, exactly the way they did The Force Awakens before it became kewl to hate Star Wars.

I've only seen two people who think that WW84 is a great movie. Grace Randolph and now Salmonella. It's getting bad reviews from all over. I didn't think anything of RLM adding to the pile. (Also, I haven't seen the movie. The bad reviews have put me off and we have too many streaming services already to bother with HBO Max,)

RLM's treatment of superhero blockbusters over the last five years has often leaned negative to my memory. Or they will disagree. Jay didn't like "Joker", I remember. And one of them (can't remember who) didn't like "Civil War", while all of the geek channels were raving about it. And then there's their mostly negatives takes on new "Star Wars" movies.

I don't think its great at all. I just think they're hypocrites because this is what they've been wanting from DC for YEARS. Look at their Man of Steel or Batman v. Superman reviews and it's full of them complaining about how superhero movies shouldn't be taken seriously and DC needs to be more "schmaltzy".

Personally I was disappointment because I enjoyed the first one and the drastic shift in tone was not what I wanted. The effects were shit and it felt like they wrote the entire story around having to find a way to make Steve Trevor come back.

I'm no comic buff but I gotta say it's a meh film. Not a terrible movie but I wouldn't want to watch it again. Chris Pine is pretty much the best part about the movie because of his charisma and chemistry with Wonder Woman. Plus the effects were kinda shitty too, especially in the last act. I always say this, but the final fight really does feel like a higher-budgeted Spy Kids.

I'm far less cynical than most on here when it comes to media shit, I've even defended the Last Jedi, but I took one look at a clip from WW84 (the meme one where she swings down and rescues a kid and it's clearly a dummy) and fucking noped out of ever watching it. It's laughable schlock, Garth Marenghi tier shit, and not the good kind. Just because Hack Snyder's trash was too dark and pretentious doesn't mean you have to accept any old shit just because it's bright and colourful, it's about how it's executed. Not to defend m'lady RLM too much but I don't see how expressing different opinions on different films is hypocritical.
