The one time he seems to have capitalized on it is that he played Dark souls about five times. Even then he did not get what the appeal was however and used guides for extra broken builds and what not in order to try and prove how good he is at the game.
He still died a ton, which was probably for the best since that's what people came to see.

It's not his fault that none of the games he's playing conform to his style of play. He's too much of a pro to unlearn all of that elite gaming knowledge.

And who could forget his classic Dark Souls run where he "accidentally" discovered a fake wall after jump-attacking near that spot for no reason

Funny I was thinking of exactly that, haha. When he played best game ever Eternal Darkness his whole 'playthroo' was pretty much just that moment over and over again. Except I think at some point he plain out said "Fuck this shitty old game, I'm using a guide" and then had his phone in his lap for the remainder of the game, looking at it while disregarding chat entirely.

That's exactly what happened. Philbert couldn't figure out a game I beat when I was 22 without an internet guide. The guy is monumentally retarded.

Especially when you are looking it up while playing the game. I refuse to believe this absolute clown was valedictorian unless video footage shows up. But then again, I can't expect anyone from the Burnell family to even know how to operate a video camera back then.

Seems a good deal of his vintage lies were still at least footed on half truths, such as his fourth place EVO that he spun as being top American player since he only got beaten out by some Japs who hadn't noped out of the tournament like the rest of em.

As much of a farce his 4th place EVO win was, at least it's not a lie.
Unlike his very recent claim of being the second best Deejay in Super Turbo in the world - currently no less. That's just plain delusional.

Oh, like his totally real story of smoking weed? He lifted his entire "muh pot was laced with PCP" story from some ABC Afterschool story he watched in health class. Not to mention his totally real story about how after smoking pot he had to shit and puke at the same time.
