Mathew "Film Bald" Buck
Re: Mathew "Film Bald" Buck
I guess even he knows his voice is absolute cancer and, and this means something, is his worst feature.
Re: Mathew "Film Bald" Buck
Well he's no Sci Fi Nerd or whatever that idiot's "screen name" was who appeared as an extra in the back of .. some film.
It's a trap!
Re: Mathew "Film Bald" Buck
How did you forget his amazing performance in the Alvin and the Chipmunks: the Road Chip. Where he makes the most of just nodding his head and clapping. Man what a acting legend.
Re: Mathew "Film Bald" Buck
Eh, he's playing Christian Slater like he does every movie. Travolta is the real star, as is the writing and badass motherfuckin' soundtrack. Some Sick Fuck wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 6:02 pmI'm going to watch Broken Arrow next, but everybody said that Slater is a wuss in it, and completely overshadowed by Travolta. Which is a problem, you don't want your supposed action lead to be a cuck, especially since Face/Off benefits greatly from the chemistry that Cage and Travolta have.Guest wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 5:50 pmNobody ever talks about Hard Target or Broken Arrow, and they really don't talk about Black Jack or Once A Thief (tv movie). First two are among his best movies, while the latter two are ridiculously underrated action movies.
All this talk reminds me of that Hong Kong takeover we briefly got in Hollywood action movies, with Kirk Wong and Ringo Lam directing movies, and Chow Yun-Fat briefly being a leading man. Then it just kind of stopped and nobody seemed to notice.
Anyway, if you haven't watched Windtalkers yet, watch the Director's Cut. It's a lot more Woo-ish and violent than the theatrical.

I think China has something to do with the end of Hong Kong action cinema.

I think people noticed it happened the same time the UK handed Hong Kong over to China. The eternal anglo strikes again.Guest wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 11:52 pmAll this talk reminds me of that Hong Kong takeover we briefly got in Hollywood action movies, with Kirk Wong and Ringo Lam directing movies, and Chow Yun-Fat briefly being a leading man. Yeah. Hong Kong action movies moved over to the west, got big here (Bruce Lee was a tipping point, and then there was a second wave with The Killer/Hard Boiled) and a lot of the HK action directors started working on western films for the global market. John Woo made some shitty Mission Impossible movie.Kugelfisch wrote: ↑Fri Nov 06, 2020 12:39 amI think China has something to do with the end of Hong Kong action cinema.

Oh, I am sure Film Bald can get an "acting gig" as an extra, preferrably in a movie that Doge might review one day.

Maybe a prison movie? He could play the nonce getting beat in the background.
No chance of him ever getting a speaking role, though
