In some of his final years where he did stuff, he had some 'review' about some movie that was called Highschool massacre or something, he picked that because it featured a character named Spoony.
So he made like a joke that this was the promised Spoony movie, but it occurs to me that he is even dumber than that.
He totally could have done this in seriousness. It was already a two parter with some Dr. Insano skit (I think). So why didn't he just rope Miles into it, and April for all I care since she was still around, have them do some additional stupid skits with him and Oreo, and beg Linkara for one of his discarded scripts to finagle some threadbare plot around it. Like, what the heck do I know, just say this was like a movie from a dimension where he actually made a movie and thus bad stuff happened and in the end he learns that he shouldn't make a movie or some other BS typical IN plotlines stuff. He could have dressed up as random Final Fantasy character like once, use lots of his personal "maymay" for lack of a better description, and be good on that.
Then all he needed to do was say something like "Thank you beloved fans, you made this possible", and viola! A Spoony movie, kinda-but-not-really.
I'm absolutely convinced that the fans that were dumb enough to wire him a lot of money on paymetons would have been one hundred percent satisfied with this. The only ones that may have cried foul would be the slightly smarter ones who only pledged him a dollar or even not at all. And honestly, the Spoony of that year where he raked in 5K a month didn't need those plebs.
So yeah, not only is he incredibly lazy, he's also completely incompetent at grifting people big time. He should have really taken a page out of DSP's book, then he might still make decent money for no work.
