I found Spoony on yiff.party. It's... not what it sounds like. People save the posts from Patreon creators there, and their comment simps, because Patreon has the security you'd expect of a service founded by a dumb hippie musician which is bleeding money for doing absolutely nothing other than running credit cards once a month.

April and I are finally reaching some semblance of normalcy in the new place, but unbelievably, after a month we still don't even have a couch. It's ridiculous how long it takes to get people out to do labor for you out here. At least I have my office and filming studio set up.

Anyway, I haven't forgotten about CAH, even if the February game is now a month late! I've had a few people e-mail me telling me about how they've had to alter their pledges because of, y'know, Life. To all those people: I hope things get better for you. Money's tight everywhere, and you've got to take care of yourselves first. You certainly don't need to apologize to me! But if you're still reading and you missed a previous game, e-mail me back anyway and I can get you in one of these new ones to make up for before.

Anyway. I've been doing some reading and it seems there is a cool new online software client for Cards Against Humanity. I think it's something we can try if it supports enough players.

Also, I had an idea for a new game we can try. I don't know if you're familiar with an older style board game that I used to play called Talisman. There's a cool version of it now online on Steam. If there's interest, I can perhaps change this game, or start a different reward tier altogether, for those of you a little tired of Cards.

DVD Commentary confusion 2014-06-10 07:51

There apparently has been some confusion (even to April) about what kind of DVD commentaries we're making. I thought I was clear in the description, but...

THESE ARE NOT RIFFTRAX. THEY ARE NOT RIFFS.

They are not fully-produced riffs in the form of pre-written, scripted comedy commentaries. The intention was to simply record live DVD commentaries where we talk about the movie, and talk about whatever we want. It could be honest analysis, tangential discussions, or whatever. It's true, April and I often riff on the movies when we watch them, but again, we have NOT written anything in advance, and these commentaries are not intended as comedy riffs.

I'm sorry if you feel misled.

The Saga of the December 2014 Cards Against Humanity Game:

January 10, 2015: I wanted to have a CAH game but my COCK IS SHOOTING ROCKS

The holidays had us running a bit late, and then I had FRIGGING KIDNEY STONES! So yeah, our game is still on. How does next weekend sound? Also, I've been looking into some of the other games you guys had mentioned. They actually look quite interesting. I might do a livestream in a few days that you can join, if I can get the review up this week. It'd be cool to playtest out games like Town of Salem and Fibbage, perhaps even make room for more patrons to be included.

January 16, 2015: Oh I forgot I was buying a house this week BBL

I know it's late notice, as April and I have just bought a house!! But we tentatively scheduled a game tomorrow (Saturday the 17th). Obviously I never confirmed this over e-mail with you, so I have no idea who's in or not, and this is absurdly short-notice to double check. So here's what we can do: we can either try tomorrow if by some miracle everyone confirms, or we can push it to next week. Here are the times I was thinking:

CAH December Group: I'll contact each of you individually very soon as to how to best proceed. I've completely fumbled December's game to the point where we can work something out on an individual basis, maybe to join me and choose what to play next time I livestream or something. It's been delayed so much you are owed at least a capital-lettered Favor. And those are darned valuable!

Very important message for the Patrons who still have a Cards Against Humanity game going: I haven't been getting responses to my e-mails. There are quite a few CAH games that need to be made-up, so if you're owed a game, ASAP email patreon.cards@spoonyexperiment.com We're going to schedule the games at least two weeks in advance from now on to avoid the previous disasters. Hopefully it will help.

I'd suggest sending a duplicate message on Patreon as well. I've tested my e-mail accounts but perhaps something got borked months ago.
