Let's take a book longer than The Lord of the Rings and try to make it a single movie. Again. Even Lynch couldn't make an adaptation work.

Love how they never thought to give it the TV treatment. Unlike George Diabeetus Martin and Gay of Thongs, Dune is established, you can rip right off the source material, and there's enough content for like 10 years of TV and consistent money, but nope, they'd rather get their nut out on a single shitty film which nobody will know what's going on and genuine fans of the books won't see.

Sci-Fi Channel (fuck that new name) did a three part mini series in 2000, followed by a sequel in 03, but I get what you’re saying, they need to do a bigger scale treatment. I’m not into the Dune lore and only know so much about it, but I understand why it’s important to people and that they deserve a good adaptation.

Given the last couple of years and the way things are going, I fear I’ll eventually pull a Faggot Josh and start hating everything after a set date. Unlike him though I won’t say a movie is bad unless I’ve actually seen it.

The Mulan actress is ugly. That's pretty much unforgivable in my book.

The Dune miniseries and its sequel were pretty rad. There was even an ultimate edition DVD of the first one with commentaries and all this making of stuff. Tits in it too. James McAvoy was in the second.
