Funny that you mention the French; this shit reminded me that back in the 1970s, a bunch of leading French philosophers petitioned the French government to decriminalize all sexual activities with a minor (someone below the age of 15). Here's the basic gist of what I'm talking about:

Some people defending Cuties blames that poster on Netflix because that wasn't the original poster. It looked like the girls were in normal outfits walking together like Stand By Me. That the marketing by them has been horrible.

Also, supposedly, the movie is about the oversexualization of people especially by Social Media even though I don't buy that part. Only reason I know this is because Dick Masterson has been hardcore defending the movies saying that the marketing was being outrageous on purpose and kept saying read the reviews.
