I'm trying to remember this, maybe around 2012? I think some fans dressed up as Team Rocket and gave spoony a visit to cheer him up. He stayed in his house and called the cops. They stated his address was publicaly available and the cops just gave them a warning. They did a follow up post on 4chan's /tv/ board. I've tried researching this but I can't find anything so I just have my vague memories.

I remember another story from 2009 or so where someone showed up to his parents house when he still lived there and gave him $50 after a video where he mentioned being broke. He told people to never do that, but I guess some assumed that didn't apply to them
