Never got that banana republic shit. You are required to have an ID here and you get sent your vote invitation in the mail. You have to bring that and your ID to vote. No exceptions. But that's hardly a new problem. You can only vote as a citizen, right? Why make that law when you have no way of enforcing it?

Because the Dems don't want ID to vote. The excuse is that it defranchises minorities even though everyone uses it for everything else like liquor and driving.

Moe won't like this but I heard the real reason is that blacks have multiple IDs. So when they get arrested and thrown on jail, they can hand out a specific ID so that they won't get hit with the 3 strikes then in prison for a long time.

Register to vote? Drop that. Every citizen gets an automated letter sent to their registered residence. If you were born in the USA, immigrated and gained citizenship, moved to another state and/or of legal voting age, that's in some computer somewhere, right? You're required to have a legal place of residence as well, no? Letter to that mailbox. Bring the letter, bring your ID (that you HAVE to have). Problem solved. Antionoreo living in Nogstreet 54 Chicago will get that letter just the same as Billy Bob in Trailerpark lot 17.

Only tax payers should be allowed to vote. Nobody fucks with the IRS, and people on welfare will just vote themselves more welfare paid for by the tax payer. Imagine a USA where a welfare recipient is taken care of, sure, but they can't vote until they get a job and start paying taxes AND are also completely off of welfare. This also deals with illegal immigrants voting and voter fraud via deceased voters.

Things would definitely change, that's for sure.
What you have now is close to the system that was in place when Rome fell apart. Clientes, or freed persons without any real jobs or sources of income, would get hired by patrones. Because they were citizens...they could vote. So in return for housing and getting taken care of, the patrones would ensure that certain laws and measures got their vote. Since Rome was a direct representative government--even citizen could theoretically vote.

It's not the same, but the only voters usually giving a damn are ones with no jobs with gibs to lose. The special interest groups tailor their candidates to ensure they vote skin color.
