Not that I know of and I couldn't imagine that. The pants have padded pockets with that stuff in there. I don't know where you'd put that stuff in a glove. If the chain tears and it flies towards the user it's caught by the chainsaw itself as it's flung into a catch especially for that purpose.

Had that happen once. It just makes a noise and you feel a hit and suddenly you're standing there without a chain on the saw and see it fall out of the saw. Nothing too exciting. Chainsaws are remarkably safe.
