Autistic point of order: That's Lucha Underground, which aired for a few years on the El Rey Network. It uses a lot of Lucha/Mexican talent but it's an American show through and through. It really leaned into the soap opera side of things, with all the story bits filmed like a TV drama. It had characters that were legit presented unironically as aliens, cyborgs, and some guy who was possessed by some sort of space dragon, and was pretty fun for a while. It isn't around anymore, so either he's been watching old clips or is just remembering shit and sperging out about it.
