I've always thought that Pulaski was a lot better character than Crusher, who was so fucking boring and bland. At least Pulaski had characterization.

Neither were very good. Pulaski was a proto-Janeway (but with less authority so it was even gayer) and Crusher was boring unless she was doing yoga with Troi.
