Can’t believe I’m saying this but you’re right for once, Mystery Inc was solid. Shame it got cancelled to make room for Be Cool Scooby Doo with the boot ruble animation.Vaporwear wrote: ↑Tue May 19, 2020 5:51 amI’m gonna stop you there, because of course it was shit. I looked at a single CGI still of that trash film and I automatically knew it was garbage, I didn’t have to watch it to know it was gonna be shit.
As for watching Scooby Doo stuff that’s actually good(for a kid’s franchise that features a talking dog and a G-rated stoner), I would recommend Scooby Doo Mystery Inc. That show was a lot more clever than the usual Scooby Doo fair and did a lot of interesting things with the concept. I mean, it’s still Scooby Doo, but it’s Scooby Doo if someone actually tried making it legit mysterious. It actually managed to be creepy in a handful of instances.
And yeah, it took years for people to realize Velma is the hot one. Mystery Inc jumped on that.

I started watching "Scooby Doo Mystery Inc" based on (good God) DHI recommendations. I like it.

I haven't seen it, but was always curious, I guess. You can do good things with Scoob and the gang. Good: Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island. Bad: Scooby Doo: Return to Zombie Island.

Re: Brad Jones, The Cinema Snob
Oh god Return to Zombie Island was a piece of shit. It was more of a soft reboot I guess because they're supposed to be older in the original but younger in Return, so it makes no damn since. The animation/visuals are standard HB beauty, but looking at the muted colors (which is my favorite type in cartoons) and visual style of the original, the new one just seems flat and too bright like most shows try to be now.
It was boring filler that just plain sucked.
But yeah Incorporated and Zombie Island are pretty great. And Witch's ghost because you know....Hex Girlz. And What's new Scooby Doo I haven't seen in a decade, but it and Zombie Island is on Netflix so I might give em a watch again.

Yeah, the gang are clearly adults in Zombie Island. Fucking Velma owns a book shop iirc, and Fred and Daphne work in TV. But I think in Return, there's actually a piece of dialogue that mentions them as being "almost 18." It may be another Scooby thing I'm thinking of, but whatever. Just keep them 17 forever or whatever. Simple pimple.

True-and-honest fans already knew that. The entire character of Daphne has always existed as a mere distraction waifu to lure the nonbelievers away from Velma.Guest wrote: ↑Thu May 21, 2020 2:36 amAnd yeah, it took years for people to realize Velma is the hot one. Mystery Inc jumped on that.
Autism attracts more autism. Sooner or later, an internet nobody will attract the exact kind of fans - and detractors - he deserves.

Surprised we're talking about Zombie Island - don't think I've seen it since I was a kid. I guess it was aight.

Great animation, color palette, legit mysterious and dark tone, and a neat plot twist. It's probably the best Scooby-Doo movie.CuckTurdginson wrote: ↑Thu May 21, 2020 6:48 pmSurprised we're talking about Zombie Island - don't think I've seen it since I was a kid. I guess it was aight.
I am going to binge Mystery Inc. this weekend. I have 4 days off.
