For the Scooby movie - I keep hearing that they shut Matthew Lillard out and wouldn't let him be a voice in it - a bit fucked up since he seems like a good egg and that he seems like he likes doing it.

I don't think he'll cut Linky out unless Linky specifically calls him and demands that, but even then I'm not sure if he even has any power to demand anything here. They did the same thing to the guy who played Launchpad in DuckTales; they recast for the reboot and didn't even let him audition for it. I've heard that cartoons now hire people based on how many Twitter followers they have rather than who would be best for the role. I've seen clips from the new DuckTales and all the characters sound terrible. The kids all have adult voices, too.
