Speaking of which, has anyone heard of Jean-Dominique Bauby? He was a French magazine editor who had a massive stroke that left him paralyzed to the point where he could only blink his left eye to communicate. By scanning letters and blinking, he wrote a 130-page book about his experiences called The Diving Bell and the Butterfly.

Think about it... a nearly totally paralyzed man accomplished more than Spoony has in the past 7 years.

I realize the inherent flaw in comparing real peoples' attitudes to fictional characters' characterizations, but I think it's worth mentioning that the guy literally using language like "every waking moment of my existence is utter misery" is the same one who would constantly say that characters like Squall and even Tidus were emo whiny pissants.
