Well they did start putting in a little bit of animation, but to me it's wasted. They're spending money on art and music for a fan 'parody' that doesn't earn them any money.
Re: TFS got copyright struck again

Apparently they're getting the job because it's a lot cheaper than hiring proper voice actors. There's already some blowback because people don't feel like they're up to the task, which you can already tell from the announcement slide needing to put it not being a parody in bold, underlined.

This is what they've been wanting the whole time, an actual paying gig. I love the THIS IS NOT A PARODY since I imagine they are trying to break out now and leave YouTube.

From what I remember that particular anime was a commercial flop, so of course the licensed dub is being pawned off to the cheapest voice actors regardless of any actual quality.
I'm surprised their first official job wasn't voicing some shitty run of the mill borderline porn anime for funimation.

Hanna-Barbara kinda made a living off doing that.VoiceOfReasonPast wrote: ↑Thu Aug 10, 2017 6:26 pmCan you really call yourself an animator if you're just reusing assets?
Re: TFS got copyright struck again
Except they owned the assets they reused. Same with Disney painting over cels on Robin Hood, they're taking from themselves, not from another company they have no affiliation with and creating an unsellable product.
As for officially dubbing an anime, all right. If it's Kaiser doing the lip flaps, I hope they put the patreon on hold because they'd have to donate 100% of their time to this in order to be taken seriously. Most likely Masako and Lani are going to be handling that stuff. If they get this gig and quit abridging to be pro anime dubbers, I'll just say good for them.

No way these fuckups could actually put out a competent dub job. They'd make hentai dubs look professional by comparison.
