Remember when they made fun of esports by parroting the same thing? I swear it's as if each writers from each show meet up at SARSbux and share ideas with each other.

Also Jumbo Kimmel made fun of video game streamers, promting Marky Markaplier to respond, if that dude was smart he would expanded his show into live streaming and maybe even video games, of course he would suck at them.

Esports are retarded and so are streamers. In this rare example Kimmel was actually correct.

Exactly. I put the decline of video games on esports. That is when video games became cookie cutter bullshit since you had to be forced to play the game a certain way to succeed. I don't mean the git gud mentality since I get it about improving your skills legitimately. I mean you have to play in a certain style to succeed.

I will use Blizzard's Heroes of the Storm as an example. In it's E-Sports hey day, you had to play with specific talents with a character or you are an asshole. All changes were done to please those faggots. Ruining certain characters just to please them. Game had gotten really fucking boring. Now without E-Sports, game is alot better. Not perfect by any stretch and has flaws but better. New changes actually make sense and you want to try out the changes. I have had more playing the game without worrying about that crap.

We already see the worst of E-Sports with the FGC and how fighting games have changed for the worst trying to please them. Mortal Kombat and Dead or Alive are fucking crap now. I still laugh at how Tecmo tried so hard to suck up to Evo by censoring everything and they still didn't put up DOA6 as one of the games.

Shooters are in a super sorry state now and likely won't ever recover on the multiplayer front. But those got mostly destroyed by stuff that makes them even less competitive, like unlocking shit, levelling systems and DLCs.
Ever tried to handle a Battlefield clan? Shit was difficult way back then but now try to not only get 24 people to have time to play at the same time but also have enough time throughout the week to grind and unlock shit. "Oh shit, Bonebreaker420 doesn't have time on Thursday and he was our only dude that has unlocked all tank driver perks!" Fucking cancer!

Any hope I had of even trying Rainbow Six Siege ended when I heard they had the option to ban characters from the PvP.

Nope. MK1 was something revolutionizing when it came out. Although in hindsight it was not that good game-wise, at the time in arcades, playing it was like playing a movie. MK2 was also a great game and it held the crown of the king of beat em up games until Tekken 3 came out.

MK3 (not Ultimate) was the best one. No Johnny Cage sucked, but the fighting system and characters were at their peak, and the run button sped everything up. Going 3D was a mistake.
