That's the episode where I felt Kirk really violated the Prime Directive. Dunno why he got his panties in such a bunch over Vaal. This was a very different scenario than other master computers like Landru where they were oppressing and killing the populace.

Well, yeah, they even say so. Kirk flat-out said he's willing to take the fire from Starfleet over this. He's starting to remind me of the more stubborn, selfish Kirk of the movie series. The older he gets, the more he wants to do things his own way.

I think the biggest takeaway with Star Trek Picard is a lot of people got fooled by Patrick Stewart's British accent. They hear an accent from the UK and think instantly that the person speaking is refined, composed, intellectual, and compassionate.

Honest truth is Patrick Stewart is a crude, lecherous, opinionated man. He is not Jean Luc Picard. He learned his accent in school. And this isn't something unique to Patrick Stewart either. People think Michael Caine is classy. No disrespect, love the man's acting and he had an epic line about acting in a JAWS file, but his accent is almost pure cockney. Liam Neeson is treated as having a very wise sounding calm voice from doing Qui gon jinn in Star Wars. His accent is like an Irish Longshoreman.

Us Americans just are too stupid at times to realize accents from the United Kingdom doesnt' equal intelligence. Only difference between Patrick Stewart and Kraut & Tea is Kraut's accent was worse.

Stewart isn't even fast on the uptake. There was a time some fat brit comedian got a good jab at Stewart at a press event and Stewart's only retort was something akin to "you're fat and stupid and fatty fat"
