Re: Star Dreck
Does the show have someone named "Sue"?
Having hope for Star Trek in Current Year was their main mistake.Keith Chegwin wrote: ↑Sun Mar 08, 2020 6:13 pmIt would be hilarious. All those 'the series is like seeing an old friend you missed' tards would be on suicide watch
Autism attracts more autism. Sooner or later, an internet nobody will attract the exact kind of fans - and detractors - he deserves.

Disney spent like a billion dollars doing just that in movie form. Nothing is too stupid in clown world.Keith Chegwin wrote: ↑Sun Mar 08, 2020 4:18 pmSounds like a load crap. The show's built on nostalgia, killing Picard would be a good way to send the viewership into the toilet.

It was would have the added bonus of finally giving Picard a goofier and more meaningless death than Kirk.Keith Chegwin wrote: ↑Sun Mar 08, 2020 6:13 pmIt would be hilarious. All those 'the series is like seeing an old friend you missed' tards would be on suicide watch
Once again proving Shatner was the superior captain.
...and still: Spoony did nothing.

Re: Star Dreck
I wouldn't be surprised if they killed off Picard.
At this point in the season, Picard is the one with the least reason to be there. The crew have bonded over their shared suffering at the hands of Starfleet(now confirmed murderers) and the Romulan cultists. Data's daughter is passionate about finding out about her origins. Picard is the only one who doesn't really have a role left on the ship. He's too old to be of use in physical combat, they made a point of saying he doesn't know how to operate the ship and he cannot function as a diplomat, because he no longer represents anyone.

Re: Star Dreck
All of the marketing for this shitshow was "it's a slow-paced character study of Picard," and all of that was a complete and utter lie; we've instead gotten a generic sci-fi action show that focuses more on the new characters than the guy that the show is named after. It was always obvious that Kurtzman was going to apply his reverse-Midas touch to Picard and have it be dumb action schlock, but it's baffling that there's a real possibility that Picard will be killed off to make room for a bunch of shitty characters that have been around for just one season.

It's not like Picard is in the show in the first place so who cares? It's like you make a show called Kirk and then get Shatner to play Denny Crane in it.

True. The Picard of Kurtzman's show is a drastically different character than the Picard of TNG. Lmao at all of the idiot nostalgia lovers who got hyped after the first trailer came out even though the trailer was a trainwreck.
