The gist of it is Rifftrax had just released a riff of Highlander and Spoony was so indignant over it he went on a tweet spree and tagged Bill Corbett in some of these tweets (Mike J. Nelson and Kevin Murphy might have been tagged as well; I don't remember). Ultimately, Bill called Spoony a drama queen, and that shut him up. This might be part of the story. Somehow, Spoony was able to get some of his riffs onto the Rifftrax site. But it looks like they'll accept pretty much anyone.

I agree with this, but "I should have been somebody!" has been a meme for about 100 years now. Most people get over it and even the ones that stay bitter forever will still go their job selling women's shoes or at least cut & wash their greaseball hair. Things weren't even bad for him. He had a decent income stream. He had a place of his own to live. He had a girlfriend that didn't weigh 300lbs.
What's unique about Spoony isn't that he's disappointed he failed to become a superstar, it's that when he realized he failed he turned into a complete mushroom.
