it is reasonably hard to get, as far as college degrees go. Programming classes can get overwhelming with tests and projects, and some of the more theoretical subjects from Computation Theory, like automata and Turing Machines, can be difficult to grasp. Besides there's just enough Math (Calculus, Statistics, and Vectorial Algebra) to make most Math-illiterate people to give up.

Still better than pure Math. You'd be surprised how rarely you have to work with actual numbers there.

I'm nearly positive that Spoony's father got Noah a nice entry-level position with Boeing right out of college and he quit within 6 months because he couldn't take the "Office Space" lifestyle or something weak like that.
