What is even going on in this thread, I can't even enjoy my monthly vacation in Romania in peace. It's not much of a vacation honestly, given that it's fucking Romania, but at least it can't get much worse than that. About 4 out of 5 cars have been in some accident, and the owners just don't give a fuck, or are too poor to afford repairs - whoever's car only has a small dent on it's body is considered a royalty here. it is reasonably hard to get, as far as college degrees go. Programming classes can get overwhelming with tests and projects, and some of the more theoretical subjects from Computation Theory, like automata and Turing Machines, can be difficult to grasp. Besides there's just enough Math (Calculus, Statistics, and Vectorial Algebra) to make most Math-illiterate people to give up.

But that was when Spoons was young and still had a little energy inside him. And you have to remember, by his own admission, his interest in the field was basically to know how to set up PCs to play shitty, archaic games like Ultima and Wing Commander that stopped running on Windows 95 because MSDOS was a piece of shit. I lived through this era too, but I mostly played on my SNES because, fuck it if I'm going to waste hours and hours trying to make a DOS game work on Windows 95.

I don't know how most colleges are, but where I went you needed a C to pass Math and Comp Sci courses. D was a failing grade. And even then when it came time to interview with employers any C on your transcript was a big red flag.
